I started training with Brian in January 2013, I was over weight and very unfit. I hated taking part in any form of exercise. I’d had enough of what I saw every time I looked in the mirror.

I decided to use Brian’s personal training services as he stood out at my gym as a friendly and approachable trainer. After a free trial I instantly felt comfortable training with him and trusted him to help me reach my goals.

Not only does Brian help me with the physical aspect of training he also gives advice and guidance towards the nutritional aspect. Brian often sends text messages or telephones asking how my eating has been that day or how i am feeling after a personal training session.

I’ve only been training with Brian for 3 months and during this time I have lost just over 2st and dropped down 3 dress sizes. My life has changed so much. I’ve quit smoking without any aids and I’ve never eaten so healthily in my life.

I can honestly say that I am a much fitter and focused person and look forward to getting a body I’ve always dreamed of, thanks Brian!

Brian is an excellent and skilful trainer, very knowledgeable and passionate about health and fitness. Having trained with him for four months the change in my shape and overall health has been fantastic. Each session was varied and was tailored to my goals accordingly, every exercise was demonstrated initially and Brian ensured that my posture and technique were correct throughout. Each routine was challenging and most importantly fun!   The weekly weigh in was a great motivational tool and helped to keep me on track, additionally Brian was very supportive with my diet and devised a nutritionally balanced eating plan for me.

I am very satisfied with the results and would highly recommend Brian. He is a consummate professional with a friendly and approachable character.

I’d put on weight and had tried lots of diets and exercise and nothing had made a significant long lasting difference. So I decided to do something different and try a personal trainer so I chose Brian. At first I was intimidated by personal training but Brian made me feel comfortable from the first session; he was supportive and motivating. He tailored exercises to my ability and gave diet advice which together has resulted in my weight loss. I have been amazed at what I have achieved and could not have done it without Brian. I’ve known Brian for a few years now and this is the second time I have been trained by him. I achieved great results with him in the past so knew I would again if I worked hard. I contacted Brian as I was struggling for motivation to get back into the gym and training on a regular basis. He really gets you motivated to achieve your goals and pushes you as hard as you are willing to achieve them. The one on one session’s along with training programme and diet plan Brian gave me have produced the outcome I was after. Brian created the training and eating plans around my goals and I’m healthier and feeling much better than I have in a long time. I came to Brian after having ran the Birmingham Half Marathon in November 2013 and went to the gym a few times a week. I was, however, disappointed with the results I was getting and wanted to give a PT a try. After the first session with Brian I knew he could deliver the results I was looking for! His knowledge of training, which went beyond the gym and included nutrition advice with motivational tips, was first class. I am very pleased with the results we have achieved together and highly recommend his services.

I started training with Brian 5 months ago. Before I found it difficult to motivate myself to go to the gym. Brian is very good at motivating you to reach your goals, both during the sessions and between. I even look forward to going to the gym on my own between sessions to work on routines that Brian has given me. I always feel like I’ve worked hard after a session and he keeps changing routines, weights and exercises as I get stronger and fitter so that I never feel bored. With Brian’s advice I’m eating better than I ever have. He is a great motivator, and generally an all round nice guy. Since training with him I feel healthier, fitter and stronger and my body is changing for the better. I would recommend him as a personal trainer to anybody.

Training with Brian has been one of the best things I’ve done in recent years. He constantly challenges me to do more, push harder and improve. I have had personal training before but did not get the results that I wanted, since training with Brian I have lost over 3 stone! I can’t claim it’s easy, but nothing really beats that feeling after an intense workout. Variation is key and Brian plans each session meticulously to ensure that the right bits get attention. After many years of neglect to my body, I decided to join the gym. I’d been a member for a year but saw no significant changes.

I searched on the internet for personal trainers in Birmingham and found BV Fitness. When I called, Brian spent time explaining how the procedure worked and invited me for a consultation which was free of charge.

During the consultation, Brian and I discussed my current lifestyle and the goals I wanted to achieve. We then had a 15 minute taster session of what I should expect and from the off I was doing exercises that I didn’t even know existed. I sweated more in this 15 minutes than I did in an hours workout at my gym. It was at this point I knew this guy would get the job done.

I decided to opt for an initial 10 sessions. On the first session Brian noted down my weight and measurements and also took a photograph. Over the course of the sessions Brian did one important thing, EDUCATE ME. Brian noted my diet and explained straight away what foods I should be cutting out.

Brian would increase the intensity of exercises and became more strict in my form as well as food as the sessions progressed. After a month of training with Brian, I was feeling fitter, stronger, healthier. It was at this point Brian sat down with me and went through my diet again. No more room for cheating, we concentrated on eating 5 small meals a day. This was quite difficult at first, but over time I got used to my new regime. This is where the education from Brian was vital.

After the end of second month, Brian took another photograph. I was SHOCKED. My belly was in, double chin gone and generally looked quite good. This was great motivation to stay on track. Brian stepped up the exercises increasing the weights to ensure I was getting stronger as well as taking me out running, something I’ve never done in my life.

At the end of the third month, I couldn’t be any more pleased. I look and feel great. I’m close to getting a six pack and none of this would have been possible without Brian. If anyone thinks personal training is expensive or doesn’t work then TRUST ME, think again. I now have the knowledge of knowing when to eat what, when to train and how. Now it’s just a case of maintaining this.
